DPP…the grand finale

Lauren, Caroline, and I spent the last few days of the December Photo Project together celebrating Christmas with family.  So here are the last few days’ worth of pictures. All photo creds go to Lauren…I was too busy snacking on my mom’s world-famous Christmas cookies to pick up a camera.

despite all appearances, she was not the happiest of travelers.

Santa wuz here.

Although this project reaffirmed that I am far from a natural-born photographer, I hope that the concept of “a culture of noticing” will stick with me.  I have thought of this phrase often throughout the month- although for me, it’s often noticing stories to be told more than pictures to be taken.  Just different ways to capture the same beauty.  Or joy, or sadness, or meaningfulness…whatever it may be in any given moment that is seen.  Here’s hoping for a new year that brings with it fresh perspective and motivation to expend the extra effort to share all that is worth sharing, whatever your medium of choice may be.
